This is a powder consisting of Lactobacillus acidophilus in a dextrose carrier and contains a minimum of 5 billion live cultures per gram of product. Lactobacillus acidophilus is often added along with Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus as a yogurt starter for it?s probiotic effects, however it is not a suitable culture on it?s own as a yogurt starter.
